Cadence Allegro Constraint System Reference Information

The Cadence Allegro Constraint System has many details that are well covered in the Allegro Documentation. It would be a mistake to try and reproduce that documentation in this user guide.

Instead we provide references to the actual Allegro Documents.

The Allegro Documentation are installed as part of the installation of the Cadence Allegro tools.

The Documentation is located in the CDS_ROOT directory which is based off of the installed allegro version.

For example if version 17.2 of the cadence tools is installed in the C:\ drive on the users local machine,  the CDS_ROOT Environment variable is set to C:\Cadence\SPB_17.2 and then

the root level of the documentation can be found at

$CDS_ROOT/doc which expands to C:\Cadence\SPB_17.2\doc

The following table shows the location of some of the important documentation for the Cadence Allegro Constraint System.

Documentation Locations

In version 16.6 the doc folder contains html files and a complete pdf document,

In version 17.2, the doc folder contains only the html files which can be viewed in any web browser or with the Cadence Documentation Interface.

The Cadence Documentation Interface provides a means to create a pdf file from the top level doc folder you are browsing.
